BethWall – Duty Manager

Starting Rate £12.00 per hour.

Pay reviews are based on length of service and additional responsibilities.

BethWall is 2 minutes walk from Bethnal Green Underground station.

As part of the small multifunctional team the role of Duty Manager is central to the effective running of the Centre. You will be responsible for the provision of a safe, fun and welcoming climbing environment. When on duty you will directly manage the day-to-day operations including the reception, café and shop with additional responsibilities including cleaning and administrative tasks.

  • Experienced applicants are preferred but full training will be given
  • All applicants must be able to arrive at BethWall for 5.45am to complete opening shifts.
  • The roles will cover the full range of BethWall’s extensive opening hours.
  • BethWall will be your primary site but you be occasionally asked to work at other LCC locations

BethWall – Team Member

Starting Rate: £11.00 per hour for aged 18 and over. £7.20 per hour for 16 & 17 year olds.

Pay reviews are based on length of service and additional responsibilities.

Working with the Duty Manager to provide a safe, fun and welcoming climbing environment. You are expected to provide an exceptional level of customer service in all centre operations. Additional to reception, tasks will include instruction, coffee service, cleaning and administration.

  • Experienced applicants preferred but full training will be given
  • The roles will be focused on evenings and weekend shifts.
  • BethWall will be your primary site but you may be occasionally asked to work at other LCC locations

HarroWall – Part-Time Kitchen Team Member

Starting Rate £11.00 per hour.

Pay is reviewed on each year of service in addition to an annual company incremental review in July of each year.

The Cafe has grown and developed since we opened in 2018 and is run by a small dedicated team, at quieter points it is solo staffed and on busy weekend or event days there can be up 4 people working as a unit to deliver exceptional service & delicious food to our climbing community.

We are looking for an energetic & motivated Team Member to join our cafe team who has a passion for food preparation, customer service and cleanliness. The ideal candidate would be a passionate climber with a desire to develop a further understanding of both the catering and fitness industry. We are looking for someone capable of working independently and as part of the broader cafe team.

Scheduling is managed by the Centre Manager and the Regional management team also provides management support.

This role is a brilliant entry-level role for a junior (16 years+ welcome to apply)

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete all the responsibilities of a Cafe Team Member to an exceptional standard
  • Responsible for preparing food & stock to ensure consistent cafe service
  • Work with the wider HarroWall Team to prepare the cafe for major events
  • Ensure adherence to all food safety standards 

Requirements

  1. Experience in catering is preferred but not required!

RMI – Regional Painter/Decorator

Hours: 30hrs – 40hrs per week

Salary: £13 – £16 per hour depending on experience

Reporting to: Regional RMI Manager (Repairs, Maintenance & Improvements)

The Role:

As our dedicated décor specialist you will be responsible for keeping our climbing centres looking fresh with a rotationally based site secondment across our London portfolio. You will assist the Regional RMI Manager and the rest of the team in keeping our centres the best they can be. We require someone that knows the industry products well, has attention to detail, a good work ethic, is punctual, flexible, adaptable, and takes pride in their work. You will also play a part in our centre improvement projects and play a key part in LCC’s expansion program working alongside our Regional RMI Manager, RMI team, and LCC’s approved contractors.

You will be required to undertake knot and prime, patch plastering, filling, sanding, drylining, the use of water, oil, and solvent-based paints, varnishing, cutting in, prep work, and general painting and decorating duties. You will have working at heights experience and will be required at times to work out of hours and weekends if the job or project requires between the hours of 6am and 6pm. All equipment and tools will be provided onsite. However, you must have the ability to travel to site by your own means. Additional training will be provided for the right candidate.

Required:

  • Understanding of COSH & HASAWA 1974
  • At least 1 year of experience in the Industry
  • Extensive Knowledge of Industry products

Desired:

  • City and Guilds 6707 L1/L2
  • PASMA certified
  • IPAF Certified
  • Commercial awareness
