Duty Manager – EustonWall, BethWall & VauxWall

Starting Rate: £12.60 per hour with reviews based on length of service and annual company incremental review.

As part of the small multifunctional team the role of Duty Manager is central to the effective running of the Centre. You will be responsible for the provision of a safe, fun and welcoming climbing environment. When on duty you will directly manage the day-to-day operations including the reception, café and shop with additional responsibilities including cleaning and administrative tasks.

  • Experienced applicants preferred but full training will be given
  • All applicants must be able to arrive at their chosen wall for 5.45am to complete opening shifts.
  • The roles will cover the full range of extensive opening hours.
  • You may be occasionally asked to work at other LCC locations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Faciliate day-to-day operations of the bouldering gym
  • Opening/closing the centre
  • Ensure the gym is clean, safe and well-maintained at all times
  • Provide a warm welcome and first point of contact for customers

Requirements:

  • Bouldering experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required

Desired:

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience in risk management

Working with the Duty Manager to provide a safe, fun and welcoming climbing environment. You are expected to provide an exceptional level of customer service in all centre operations. Additional to reception, tasks will include instruction, coffee service, cleaning and administration. Team Members also do occasional shifts in the onsite café, receiving food preparation and barista training.

  • Experienced applicants preferred but full training will be given
  • The roles will be focused on evenings and weekend shifts.
  • Your chosen wall will be your primary site but you may be occasionally asked to work at other LCC locations

RMI – Regional Painter/Decorator

Hours: 30hrs – 40hrs per week

Salary: £13 – £16 per hour depending on experience

Reporting to: Regional RMI Manager (Repairs, Maintenance & Improvements)

The Role:

As our dedicated décor specialist you will be responsible for keeping our climbing centres looking fresh with a rotationally based site secondment across our London portfolio. You will assist the Regional RMI Manager and the rest of the team in keeping our centres the best they can be. We require someone that knows the industry products well, has attention to detail, a good work ethic, is punctual, flexible, adaptable, and takes pride in their work. You will also play a part in our centre improvement projects and play a key part in LCC’s expansion program working alongside our Regional RMI Manager, RMI team, and LCC’s approved contractors.

You will be required to undertake knot and prime, patch plastering, filling, sanding, drylining, the use of water, oil, and solvent-based paints, varnishing, cutting in, prep work, and general painting and decorating duties. You will have working at heights experience and will be required at times to work out of hours and weekends if the job or project requires between the hours of 6am and 6pm. All equipment and tools will be provided onsite. However, you must have the ability to travel to site by your own means. Additional training will be provided for the right candidate.

Required:

  • Understanding of COSH & HASAWA 1974
  • At least 1 year of experience in the Industry
  • Extensive Knowledge of Industry products

  • City and Guilds 6707 L1/L2
  • PASMA certified
  • IPAF Certified

Regional Marketing Assistant

Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week (part-time candidates are welcome to apply)

Salary: £21-£28k dependent on skills & experience

Reporting to: Marketing Manager

Calling all digital marketers. London Climbing Centres, one of the largest groups of climbing walls in the UK, is looking for a marketing assistant to join our growing marketing department.

We’re on the hunt for a creative copywriter, with a penchant for paid-ads and a specialty in SEO, to help continue the rapid growth of the group and the marketing team.

This is a unique opportunity to help grow and shape LCC’s marketing strategy over the coming years. You’ll be reporting to the marketing manager and will be expected to work independently, as well alongside the marketing manager and other members of the management team, in a number of key areas.

These include email marketing, PPC adverts and campaigns, social media management including both paid-for and organic content, SEO, and general marketing support.

About you:

You love all things digital marketing and have some experience across all common marketing platforms. You’re an enthusiastic, organised, quick learner who’s capable of working in a team and independently. Communication is key in marketing, and you’re a strong copywriter with a proven track record of writing everything from social media posts to articles to a range of audiences.

Bonus points for candidates with a broad understanding and experience working in the climbing/fitness industry or family activities. And of course, top marks if you share our love of all things climbing!

Where will you be based?

A mixture of remote and London-based work (1 WFH day a week in your first 3 months, with room for more as you settle into the team). With 8 centres to work from across London there’s plenty of scope for hot-desking, with a primary office at VauxWall East.

Key responsibilities:

●      Supporting the marketing manager and centre managers in all marketing efforts

●      Understanding and implementing PPC campaigns across all social media platforms to support the continued growth the London Climbing Centres

●      Understanding and implementing Google Ads campaigns

●      Attention on SEO and website analysis (using GA4) to continually improve our website

●      Planning and implementing impactful direct email marketing communications

●      Assisting the marketing manager in planning of marketing strategy, inclusive of yearly fitness trends, events, academic terms, and holiday offerings

●      Assisting marketing planning to support individual centres’ specific challenges, in addition to clear delivery of our eight centre London offering

●      Clear monthly reporting of marketing efforts and KPIs

●      Support for social media assistants at each centre

Requirements

●      Digital marketing all-rounder with experience and examples of their work (social media, SEO, email marketing, paid ads, etc.)

●      Good knowledge of the world of climbing (or equivalent sport) and an understanding of our broad customer base

●      Excellent collaborative working and communication skills

●      Copywriting skills, preferably industry relevant

●      Metrics-driven mind, data fluency, and a focus on commercial performance
