We’re making changes, here’s what you need to know…

LCC is excited to reveal that there are some significant changes to VauxWall East comp boulder, with works starting next Friday (16th) and lasting until Tuesday 27th of August!

The comp boulder will be out of action throughout this period (it will be stripped on the evening of Thursday 15th), as will the Northern Line, so to reflect this reduced climbing access we’ll be charging £9 entry all-day from Friday 16th through to Tuesday 27th.

Off-peak members can also climb at any time during this period without paying the peak time supplement.

So, what’s getting changed?

The comp boulder (central boulder in the room) will be changed to block up the current arch and add a more accessible section of climbing on the other side, replacing the tall overhang.

We’ll also be refreshing the panels and giving it a new lick of paint to brighten the area and give the comp arch a warm, modern look.

The change has been made after chatting with our setting and in-centre teams, with an eye on increasing climber safety within the centre and allowing our setting teams to create a diverse range of blocs and styles during comp sets.

Check out the renders to see what’s in store and join us on Wednesday 28th for a fresh new set on a fresh new bit of wall!

And, don’t forget, for nearly 2 weeks you’ll get £9 climbing, air-conditioning, and plenty of bangin’ blocs to keep you occupied.

We’ll see you there!
