Who’s ready for the big one…
The Big Comp returns to HarroWall for the 5th time this September, from the 23-24th, bringing banging blocs and a famous comp atmosphere to London’s largest bouldering centre.
So, what’s it all about?
Test yourselves in our all-levels-welcome competition, climb world-class competition blocs, take part in fun challenges and gear raffles. And, once qualifying is over, take your seat and watch some of the very best climbers in the UK battle it out for the £1000 first prize.
Throughout the day there’ll be qualification climbs, showcase finals, wacky challenges, boot demos, gear giveaways, Arc’Teryx raffle prizes, and big cash prizes!
Qualifying will be split into two sessions and tickets are now available for both of those sessions!
Changes for 2023
Last year’s event was our biggest Big Comp yet, and off the back of that popular day-out we’ve made some changes for 2023.
The first big change is the introduction of two qualifying sessions, with numbers limited on each to ensure a comfortable qualifying environment for all. The first runs from 10am-1pm, the second from 2pm-5pm, with registration for each opening 45 minutes before the session start time.
Finals take place from 6:30pm onwards, with hot food and alcohol available for spectators.
We’ll be keeping the ever-popular wacky bloc, but unlike previous years it won’t be included as part of the qualifiers.
Total Prize Fund
£5,000 cash (including £1000 for 1st place)
£2,000 Arc’Teryx Prizes for raffles
