Learn to supervise your kids around the centre
Alternatively, you can climb with your kids without the need for an instructor. Here’s how:
Even if you’ve never climbed before, you can become a competent bouldering supervisor by taking part in an Induction Plus session, that will cover the basics of bouldering technique and safety.
If you are already a competent climber, simply ask at the front desk about doing a bouldering supervisor assessment.
£25 per climber, suitable for those aged 14+

Next stop the Olympics…?
Is your child ready to take their climbing to the next level? Perhaps all the way to Olympics… Then NICAS might be for them!
NICAS stands for National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme and is a UK-wide scheme designed to promote climbing development through structured learning and accredited individual achievement.
NICAS sessions are aimed at children 7-11 & 11+ and are grouped into regular weekly sessions that run alongside local school terms.
This means that children (& parents) can continue to learn alongside their new climbing friends at the same time each week.
Promotion starts two weeks before each school half-term and is heavily in-demand with most sessions selling out.

Frequently Asked Questions
How old does my child have to be before they can climb?
The lowest age for Bouldering Clubs and private sessions is 7.
There’s no minimum age for supervised children, as long as you (or the supervisor) are registered with us as a competent climber and pass our supervisor assessment.
Do I have to book online?
We accept walk-ins, however sessions do get booked up and we can’t guarantee a space for you unless you book online!
Does my child need any special equipment?
All climbers are required to wear climbing shoes, but don’t worry, shoe hire is covered in the cost of Bouldering Clubs, private sessions, and Induction Plus. Chalk will also be provided.
We recommend for you/your child to wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting chalky!
Can I climb alongside my child?
Yes, if you are both booked onto a private session.
Otherwise, if you are a competent climber you can easily become a bouldering supervisor (ask at the front desk to do the questionnaire) and supervisor 1-2 juniors at a time.
If you are not a competent climber, you need to book onto an Induction Plus session to learn everything you need to know.
